Pat Townsend has a Master of Science degree, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Clinical Specialty: Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Her teaching experience includes Instructor of "Family Systems Theory," Instructor "Basic Principles of the Addictive Process," Instructor "Helping Skills," and Guest Lecturer at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda CA.

As a consultant Pat has conducted In Service Training for hospitals and treatment programs, presentations for colleges, service institutions, HMO's Family Practice Residency, Riverside County Drug Program and Riverside Hospice.

She designed programs for the Family and Aftercare and implemented both programs and trained staff at the ABC Recovery Center in Indio CA.
