Jerry was born in Salt Lake City in 1925 where he lived until he went into the Navy in 1942. After a four year stint in the Navy he relocated to Hollywood CA as one of the first to be employed in television.

As a producer he received an Emmy Award and went on to become Vice President in Charge of Productions for the Smothers Brothers Company. He was the Vice President, Executive Vice President and President of Osmond Entertainment.

Jerry is the father of four children and nine grandchildren.
